Chigbo Peter Nwofoke, Owner of Mayor Lesson Center
Recognised by Nkuzify as Leading Teacher and Educator of the Year.
There are lesson centre owners, and there are leaders. Chigbo Peter Nwofoke is a leader. He owns Mayor Lesson Center in Abakaliki, where he lives, and he studied at Ebonyi State University (EBSU). What stands out about him is the way he treats the people who teach for him.

A leader in how he teaches and organises
Peter has real leadership skill, and you can see it in how he teaches his students and how he organises his classes. Nothing around him is left to chance. Students know where to be and what to expect, and that order gives teachers room to do their best work.
He makes teachers feel their worth
Peter understands what many people in our country still do not: teaching should not be a poor man's business. He shows it by paying his teachers very well, and sometimes he does it from his own pocket. He also hosts hangouts for his teachers, so they feel seen as people and not only as staff. He makes each teacher feel the worth of their strength.

What he gave me
Peter made room for teachers like me to stand in front of students and teach. A room, students, and the trust to teach them are the three things every teacher needs, and he gave all three. I have taught at Mayor Lesson Center, and I am proud to have it on my teaching journey.
Thank you, Peter
In a country where teachers are often paid last, he pays them well. That is leadership, and it deserves to be celebrated. Nkuzify recognises him this Teachers' Day.
