While continuing my practical lessons, I completed Module 3, Slot 7, which focused on exploring the creative possibilities of AI image generation. For this activity, I used a personal photograph as a reference and experimented with changing the setting, clothing, pose, and overall atmosphere to create a completely different visual concept.
Prompt I Used:
Create a highly realistic cinematic portrait using the uploaded photo as the facial reference. Preserve the subject's natural facial characteristics and recognizable appearance. Place the subject in a modern industrial-style studio with textured concrete walls and dramatic architectural lighting. The subject is dressed in an oversized black graphic T-shirt, relaxed black trousers, clean black boots, and a stylish wristwatch, with a backward cap completing the streetwear look.
Position the subject in a relaxed crouching pose beside a large vintage motorcycle, creating an urban fashion-editorial atmosphere. Use dramatic side lighting, realistic shadows, detailed textures, shallow depth of field, and a slightly desaturated cinematic color grade. The final image should look like a professional streetwear magazine photoshoot, with a confident but natural mood.
What I Learned
This practical exercise taught me that AI image generation can turn an ordinary photograph into an entirely new visual concept. By carefully describing the environment, clothing, pose, lighting, and mood, I was able to guide the AI toward a specific creative result.
The activity also showed me the importance of being precise with prompts. Instead of simply asking AI to “make the picture look cool,” I learned to describe individual elements that work together to create the desired atmosphere.
