Accept Or Lose It: JAMB's Final Deadline For Old Admission Offers

Some candidates have been carrying admission offers for years without touching them. JAMB has finally said enough. Offers that were never accepted or rejected are about to disappear, and this could affect you even if you already have a new admission.

What JAMB Announced

The board moved the deadline to 30 September 2026 for candidates with pending offers dating from 2021 to date. Any offer left unresolved reverts to "Not Admitted". JAMB said this was the final opportunity and that there would be no further extensions.

Will An Old Offer Hurt My New Admission?

No. JAMB said candidates who hold a 2026 offer and still have older pending offers can reject the older ones without affecting the new one. If you are on a second degree and hold an old offer, the same logic applies.

The General Rule To Remember

At its annual policy meeting, JAMB also announced a four-week grace period to accept or reject an offer and warned that candidates who refuse admission could face penalties.
