NECO 2026 Results Are Out: What Every "Awaiting Result" Candidate Must Do Now

NECO has released the 2026 results, and for many candidates the real work starts now. If you registered for UTME as "awaiting result", your admission cannot move until that result reaches JAMB. Here is what the numbers say and what to do in the next few days.

The Registrar announced the SSCE Internal results in Minna, and the release came 63 days after the last paper.

What The 58.67% Really Tells You

The gap between those last two rows is the important part. Roughly four in ten candidates did not get five credits including both English and Mathematics. Most degree programmes ask for exactly that, so a result can look good and still block your course. Read your own result line by line before you celebrate or panic.

If You Registered As "Awaiting Result"

In its statement after restoring CAPS, JAMB asked such candidates to upload or verify their results promptly so institutions can consider them. You check the result on NECO's results portal with your registration number and result token, then get it onto your CAPS profile.
